How to Apply

Students apply for specific research projects rather than for generic positions within the CDT. Competition for ICB CDT studentships is high, ensuring that only the best applicants are awarded a place on the course.

Potential students are interviewed by the CDT Director (or Deputy Directors) and the supervisors if they are invited for interview. This includes tours and presentations of the CDT and the opportunity to meet current students.

The positions for Institute of Chemical Biology CDT in Physical sciences innovation in Chemical Biology for bioindustry and healthcareare now all filled. Our last cohort of students are expected to graduate by 2022/2023.

We are happy to annouce the EPSRC funding of a new CDT in Chemical Biology - Innovations for the Life Sciences with the first cohort of students starting in October 2019.

If you are interested in a studentship for October 2019, please check our new webpage:, and let Dr Natalia Goehring know. As soon as the projects are advertised, we will send out an email on how to apply.
