Project: Biophysical and structural characterisation of the ineraction between the Popeye domain containg 1 (POPDC1) protein and small molecule ligands - towards a treatment for atrial fibrillation

Before joining the ICB I completed an MSci in Natural Sciences at the University of Bath. I am supervised by Prof Alan Spivey and Prof Thomas Brand as well as Dr Mark Pfuhl (Kings College London) and Dr Katie Chapman (Domainex). My project focuses on the characterisation of the interactions between the Popeye domain containing 1 (POPDC1) protein and small molecule ligands, with the aim of developing novel therapies for atrial fibrillation. My work is co-funded by the BHF.
