Project: In silico Modelling of Drug-Membrane Interactions: Predicting Non Specific Binding

Biography:

Callum undertook a Masters in Chemical Physics at the University of Edinburgh, a year of which was spent as an Industrial Trainee as a computational chemist in the Lead Discovery group at Pfizer, Sandwich.

Following this he started at Imperial College London to do a Masters of Research in Bioimaging Science before moving on to do a PhD, both within the ICB. He is interested in applying computational chemistry to chemical biology problems, specifically the simulation of membranes, the interaction of small molecules with membranes, the study of membrane proteins and computational chemistry for drug discovery.

He specialises in molecular dynamics but also has experience with quantum chemistry, cheminformatics and docking methods.
