Top Up Call

The top-up PhD funding scheme is for supervisors who are able to provide a financial contribution towards a 4 year PhD programme starting in October 2017. The source of financial contribution may be from industry, charities or College and other Universities. However, RCUK funding is not eligible for top-up.

To be eligible for the top-up scheme supervisors need to provide 50% financial contribution to the studentship (approx. £52k).

The scheme is funding projects that are concerned with the development of new molecular tools and technologies to study specific interactions that address key challenges in the pharma, biotech, personal care or agriscience sectors.

Guidelines, Forms and Deadlines

Please read the top-up scheme guidelines carefully before applying. Applications must be made by completing the top-up application form.

Top-Up proposals can be submitted between 1st of September 2016 to 31st of December 2016 and the scheme will close when all available ICB CDT resources have been allocated.
